West Boylston Select Board Fills Three Town Committees

Select Board · Meeting of September 15, 2026

West Boylston Select Board expands its Economic Development Task Force and seats a new DPW oversight panel. The board, chaired by Vanessa Kuzmanovski, voted unanimously to grow the task force to seven members and appointed Paul Baraby, Jeff Belois and Alex Lyons to it through June 2029. Members also filled a new DPW Facilities and Shared Services Committee, appointing Daniel Mercurio, Joshua Smith and Nancy Trenzer after rejecting former board member Chris Ruscio's bid, 1-3.

The board cut early voting hours for the week of Oct. 19-23 to 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and noon-4 p.m. on alternating days, and awarded a $10,800 roadway crack-sealing contract to Indus Corp. Town Administrator Michael Ward reported some Prescott Street-area homes "are not going to be having service" from the town's fiber provider, and that the police department's delayed $21,000 comfort-dog grant has finally come through. The board also honored the late longtime member Kevin McCormick and accepted member Christina Pidoni's resignation.
