WEST BOYLSTON — The West Boylston Planning Board unanimously approved an ANR plan splitting land at 51 and 55 Hosmer Street. The new 1.125-acre lot meets the 150-foot frontage required in the town's aquifer overlay district, while a leftover strip was labeled "not to be considered a buildable lot without further subdivision approval" to avoid the kind of zoning problem board members called a "poison" lot. Consultant Julius of New England Environmental Design presented the plan; the applicant paid a $300 filing fee.
Separately, the board weighed a request from contractor Ricciardi to reduce a bond on the nearly finished Century Drive, or Birdland, roadway project near Route 140, directing its engineering consultant to inspect the road first. Members also noted Matt Barakian is a candidate for a four-year board seat in the June 2 town election, and corrected prior minutes to confirm Barur R. Rajeshkumar as treasurer.
